Refund & Cancellation Policy

At SkillACQ, we are committed to providing the highest quality skill acquisition education and consulting. We want to be the go-to destination for credible information, and we act with integrity in all our dealings. We want you to be satisfied with your learning journey, but we also need to protect our intellectual property and the time of our specialists.

Our refund and cancellation policy is outlined below for our three core 'paid' pathways: Build, Refine and Optimise.

1. The 'Build' Pathway (Online Courses)

We believe in the quality of our educational modules. However, we understand that online learning is not always the right fit for everyone.

14-Day Money-Back Guarantee If you purchase a course or bundle and feel it has not provided the value you expected, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided the following "Fair Use" conditions are met:

  • You have not completed more than 25% of the course content.

  • You have not downloaded all the available resources.

We track course progress automatically. If you have consumed a significant portion of the intellectual property, we reserve the right to decline a refund request to prevent abuse of our content.

How to Request a Refund: Please email us at info@SkillACQ.com with your receipt number and a brief explanation of why the course wasn't a good fit. We welcome feedback to help us improve.

Organisational Licenses: Refunds for bulk organisational licenses (e.g., the 10-license pack) are handled on a case-by-case basis and generally must be requested within 14 days of the invoice date, provided no licenses have been activated by any staff members.

2. The 'Refine' Pathway (Mentoring & Bespoke Education)

This pathway involves the dedicated time of our high-performance specialists. As such, we have specific policies regarding cancellations and rescheduling.

1-on-1 and Group Mentoring Sessions

  • Rescheduling: We require at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule a mentoring session. Whether sessions can be effectively rescheduled will be dependent on SkillACQ staff availability. 

  • Late Cancellations / No-Shows: Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or failure to attend a scheduled session, will result in that session being forfeited from your monthly allowance. No refund or credit will be provided for that specific session.

Monthly Retainers/Subscriptions

  • Cancellation: You may cancel your 'Refine' mentoring agreement at any time. To avoid being charged for the subsequent month, you must provide written notice via email at least 7 days before your next billing date.

  • No Partial Refunds: We do not offer pro-rated refunds for partial months. You will continue to have access to your mentor and resources until the end of your current billing period.

3. The 'Optimise' Pathway (Consulting & Interventions)

Due to the bespoke and high-touch nature of our 'Optimise' interventions, refunds and cancellations are governed by the specific Service Agreement or Contract signed at the commencement of the project.

General Principles:

  • Diagnostic Audit Fee: If a Diagnostic Audit is conducted as part of the Optimise engagement, the fee for the initial Diagnostic Audit (Phase 1) is non-refundable once the audit dates have been confirmed and our specialists have begun preparatory work or travel arrangements.

  • Project Fees: Cancellation terms for long-term interventions will be detailed in your proposal. Generally, work completed up to the date of cancellation is billable and non-refundable.

4. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled:

  • to cancel your service contract with us; and

  • to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.

You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done, you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion.
